So after just one game St Mary's has sadly been knocked out of the Challenge Cup following their match agaisnt Loughborough University.  St Mary's fought galliantly agaisnt their rivals but a lack of focus in the final 5 minutes gave their opposition a much heftier victory than the game should suggest.  Both the 1st and the 2nd teams are still in other cup competitons however so this loss should give them the determination they need.

Final Score:  Loughborough Uni     40-12     St Mary's

Tom Sadler

A Harlequins youth player, Tom has spent most of his childhood playing Rugby League and has developed into an important player to have on any team. Tom's kicking game was at its peak during the game causing the opposition to fumble the ball numerous times from kick offs. His point conversions were also spot on and helped the teams overall score.

21st January Birmingham vs St Mary's

Wes Newton

One of the freshers on this established team, Wes demonstrated a terrific performance at Fullback coming under immense pressure from the Birmingham kicking game all day. Though he isnt the biggest player he put in some great tackles and prevented Birmingham from putting more points on the scoreboard.
